What's Wedcycle all about?

After a wedding, there's usually tons of stuff that you just don't need anymore. Rather than let it hang around gathering dust, why not pass it on for free to someone in your area who could use it for their wedding? Then let the Wedcycle continue by relisting again and again!

Wedcycle is a place to list used and unwanted wedding items, and browse all the available items in the nearest city or town to you.

Communication starts through the site, and you take it from there, arranging a mutually convenient time and location to drop off or pick up goods.

For a short time, you can register as a member of Wedcycle for free! Your memberships lasts forever, so this means you will be able to list and receive as many items as you like. So register now!

Eventually, we will charge a small one off fee of £5.00 to join the site. The £5.00 membership allows you to list unlimited items with no time restrictions, and also enables you to send enquiries to other Wedcyclers about their listed items. This is really to cover our administrative costs only, as we really want to encourage reuseable weddings and reduce wastage!

Some more information

Photos submitted should ideally be in JPEG, PNG or GIF format. All photo files should be optimized, and ideally cropped, to reduce file sizes. Note that photos taken from magazines or any kind of publicity material will have copyright issues, and permission should be sought from the originator before submitting them.

Items will be online within 24 hours of receipt of all your details, that is, form, image and membership fee. We will use appropriate file size and resolution for your image to optimize page loading times.

Once your listing is live, potential recepients can contact you through our mail server. Your personal email address will not be revealed online.

When you successfully Wedcycle your items, please let us know so we can take it off the site. Send us an email along with your item reference number.

Q. Do I have to fill in the whole form ?

A. Yes please! It helps us list your items in the correct location and category. A nice photo and lots of information in the description will help potential recepients know if your items are suitable for them.

Q.I've succesfully Wedcycled my item but am still getting enquiries. How do I remove it from the site?

A. Send us an email once your otem has been successfully Wedcycled along with the item reference number and we can remove it from the site.

Q. How do I optimise photos for the web ?

A. This can easily be done in professional programs such as Fireworks, Photoshop, or Paint Shop Pro. There are also a number of free utilities available to download on the internet which will do the same thing.

Q. Is my payment secure ?

A. Payments entered over the Paypal secure servers are not passed onto us, we are merely informed when payment has been made.

Q. What does my membership fee buy ?

A. The £5.00 listing fee is really just an administrative charge for listing your items. We want to start a wedcycling revolution to reduce wastage of wedding item so want to encourage you to list as many items as you've got to help others.

Q. How do I arrange the pick-up of my Wedcycled items?

A. All negotiations are arranged in private between recepient and Wedcycler. Some Wedcyclers distribute items on a first come first served basis, so whoever emails them first gets the item. Then through emails, a convenient time and place for both parties is decided upon to hand over the goods!

Q. Can I change some details of my advert after it has gone live ?

A. Yes, simply send us an email with the required changes and please quote your item reference number.

Q. I am interested in an item but there is no reply to my emails.

A. We advise to keep trying for a couple of weeks, the Wedcycler may be on holiday, or have computer problems.

Q. Are the items on the website still available?

A. All items on this website are shown in good faith as being available for Wedcycling by private individuals.

Q. Will my personal details appear on the internet ?

A. No, all contact details are hidden. Potential recepients can only contact you by filling in a standard mailform, which is filtered through our servers.

Q. Are my personal details secure?

A. Data is for our sole use, and is not shared with any third parties.
